Directing for Feature Film

Seeking an experienced Feature Film Director to lead an upcoming independent production starting in early October 2026. This project is a character-driven psychological thriller set in modern-day Atlanta, exploring themes of identity and perception with a gritty, realistic tone. We are looking for a visionary director who can bring a nuanced approach to storytelling, elicit powerful performances, and execute a compelling visual style. This is a significant opportunity to helm a project with strong artistic potential and a passionate team. Key responsibilities include overseeing all creative aspects from pre-production through post-production, collaborating closely with the screenwriter, DP, and producers, guiding the cast through complex emotional arcs, and maintaining the artistic integrity of the film. We anticipate a principal photography schedule of approximately 4-5 weeks. Pre-production will commence in mid-September 2026. Candidates must have a proven track record directing at least two feature films, ideally within the thriller or drama genres. A strong understanding of independent film production workflows and a collaborative spirit are essential.
