Directing for Pilot

When a brilliant but disgraced scientist discovers an alien artifact, he must choose between redemption and revenge. We’re seeking an experienced Director for a captivating sci-fi drama pilot, set in a near-future Brooklyn. This project has a grounded, gritty aesthetic with subtle fantastical elements, drawing inspiration from shows like \"Devs\" and \"Fringe.\" You’ll be responsible for translating the script into compelling visuals, guiding performances, and maintaining a cohesive creative vision from prep through post. We’re looking for someone with a strong visual style, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to lead a crew and cast effectively. You should have a reel demonstrating experience directing character-driven genre work. Prior experience with independent production or pilots is a plus. This is a deferred compensation role with a backend percentage, ideal for someone looking to build their reel and contribute to a high-potential project. Prep will be about 3 weeks in late August or early September 2026, followed by a 4-5 day shoot. Shooting will primarily be in and around Brooklyn. While we’re operating as a lean independent production, we’ll provide essential equipment, locations, and a dedicated crew.
