Director, Sci-Fi Pilot (Entry Level)

Seeking an entry-level Director for a dramatic sci-fi pilot shooting about 2 days in the first half of October 2026, with a rate of $1000-1500 per day. This independent production explores themes of memory and reality, with a grounded, intimate tone. We need someone who can translate a character-driven script into compelling visual storytelling, working closely with a small, dedicated crew. Your primary responsibility will be guiding performances and collaborating with the DP to establish the visual language of the series. We're looking for someone with a strong artistic vision, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a focused schedule. Experience directing narrative short films or music videos is essential, and you should be comfortable leading a set. Please submit your reel showcasing your directing work. Your passion for sci-fi and character-focused drama is a plus. While this is an entry-level position, we value creative problem-solving and a proactive approach. Equipment will be provided by the production, focusing on a compact, high-quality setup.
