Director, Thriller Short Film

Seeking a talented and innovative Director for an upcoming independent thriller short film, shooting in Miami, FL. This project is a suspenseful character-driven piece focused on a woman uncovering a dark secret in her new neighborhood. We're aiming for a tense, atmospheric tone that really builds dread. We've got a fantastic script and a passionate, lean crew. Key responsibilities include bringing the script to life with a strong visual style, guiding performances, and overseeing the creative vision from pre-production through post. You'll work closely with the DP and production team to execute our vision within a tight schedule. We're looking for someone with 3-5 years of directing experience, ideally with previous short film credits. Please provide a directing reel or links to your previous work. While we have basic production equipment, we'd appreciate any insights you have on specific camera setups or techniques that would enhance the project. Exact shoot dates are flexible, but we anticipate 3-4 days in late summer/early fall. Shoot days will be long, but food, water, and plenty of coffee/energy drinks will be provided.
