Entry-Level Director, Corporate Video (Austin, TX)

Corporate Video Directing Austin, TX entry Budget: Deferred pay

Seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Director for an engaging corporate video project in Austin. This isn't your typical dry corporate shoot, we're aiming for something with a fresh, contemporary feel, focusing on capturing authentic interactions and compelling narratives for a local tech company. You'll be responsible for bringing the creative vision to life, working closely with our small team to guide performances, block scenes, and ensure the overall aesthetic aligns with the client's goals. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on directing experience with a project that offers creative latitude. We're looking for someone with a strong eye for composition and storytelling. You should have access to your own basic directing kit (e.g., monitor, walkies, slate, clapperboard) and a reel showcasing your previous work, even if it's student films or short independent projects. Basic understanding of corporate video production is a plus. Shoot dates are TBD but likely two to three days in late August or early September, standard industry hours (10-12 hours per day). Lunch and craft services will be provided on set. Compensation for this independent production is deferred, with an agreement in place for payment upon project delivery and client acceptance, typically within 30-45 days of the shoot. Let's make something really cool.
