Editing for Feature Film

Our independent production, an upcoming suspenseful drama feature, is seeking a talented Senior Editor to join our post-production team in New York, NY. This project offers a unique opportunity to shape a character-driven story with a strong visual style, focusing on psychological tension and nuanced performances. We're looking for someone who can elevate the narrative through masterful pacing, sound design integration, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for assembling the rough cut, refining picture and sound, managing dailies, integrating visual effects (where applicable), and working closely with the director to achieve the final edit. We expect about 6-8 weeks of work starting around October 14, 2026, generally 10-hour days. We will provide a fully equipped editing suite with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Candidates must have extensive experience cutting feature films, a strong understanding of dramatic storytelling, and a portfolio showcasing their editorial work. We're offering paid compensation of $500-800 per day, commensurate with experience. Please share your reel and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
