Editor, Feature Film (Deferred Pay)

Looking for an editor to join our team for an independent feature film. This is a gritty, character-driven drama with elements of a psychological thriller. We've just wrapped principal photography, and the story has some fantastic performances that we're eager to bring to life in the edit suite. We need someone who can help us craft a compelling narrative, maintain a strong emotional arc, and really dig into the rhythm of the film. Your primary responsibilities will include assembling initial cuts, collaborating with the director on story structure, incorporating feedback, and managing media. Experience with long-form narrative is a plus, but we're open to all experience levels if you have a strong reel that shows your storytelling abilities. Please have your own editing software and a reliable workstation. Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a bonus, but not required. This is a deferred pay position, common in independent film, with backend participation. We're aiming for roughly 8-10 weeks of work starting in late September 2026, working remotely initially with some in-person sessions in Los Angeles, CA as needed.
