Entry-Level Feature Film Director
Hey everyone, David here. I'm an editor working on an independent feature film looking for a talented and passionate entry-level Director to bring our script to life. This is a dramatic thriller with psychological elements, set in a rural, isolated community. Think slow burn with a constant underlying tension. It's a character-driven piece, and we're excited to find someone who can really connect with the material and elicit powerful performances. Your responsibilities will include leading pre-production meetings, working closely with the cast and crew, and obviously, directing on set. We need someone with a strong visual style and storytelling instincts. Experience, even if it's primarily short films or student projects, is a must. Please have a solid reel or past work you can share that demonstrates your ability to direct narrative content. We're looking at approximately 15-20 shoot days, likely in Fall 2024. Hours will be typical film set hours, so expect long days. We'll be shooting primarily in the Los Angeles area. We'll provide camera equipment, sound, and a core crew. This is a great opportunity to get a feature film directing credit under your belt. Compensation is $150-300/day, depending on experience. Excited to see what you've got!
