Director, Independent Documentary

Seeking a passionate Director for an independent documentary exploring the unique challenges and triumphs of Intimacy Coordinators in the film industry. This film aims for an intimate, observational tone, giving an honest look into a crucial, often misunderstood, on-set role. We're looking for someone with a strong storytelling vision to shape this narrative and bring these important stories to life. Key responsibilities include guiding the creative direction, working closely with subjects to build trust and capture authentic moments, and collaborating with the small crew. All experience levels are welcome, from emerging talent to established filmmakers. While we are an independent production operating on a volunteer basis, we can offer production credit, meals during shoots, and a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful film. We're aiming to shoot primarily in New York City, with shoot dates flexible, likely 2-3 days a week over several weeks.
