Director, Sci-Fi Thriller Pilot (Mid-Level)

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a sharp, mid-level Director for an exciting sci-fi thriller pilot shooting in Atlanta. This project explores themes of artificial intelligence and societal control, with a grounded, suspenseful tone that builds to a shocking climax. We're looking for someone who can craft compelling visuals and guide strong performances, bringing a distinctive vision to this intricate story. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the screenwriter and producers, leading the creative direction on set, and working with our DP to establish the visual language. We need someone with a strong understanding of dramatic pacing and character development. Please have a solid directorial reel showcasing your narrative work, particularly in genres with tension and character-driven stories. While we have a camera and lighting package, familiarity with various digital cinema cameras and post-production workflows is a plus. Shoot dates are approximately 5 days in late October, with 10-12 hour days. Location will be primarily around the Atlanta area. We'll provide craft services, lunch, and a comfortable working environment. Compensation is $300-500/day, negotiable based on experience. Send your reel and resume when applying.
