Director, Electro-Pop Music Video

Seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Director for an electro-pop music video for an independent artist. This project has a vibrant, energetic tone with a touch of whimsical surrealism, offering a great opportunity to showcase creative vision. We're looking for someone who can translate dynamic music into compelling visuals, someone with a fresh perspective and a strong eye for aesthetics. Key responsibilities include developing a concise treatment, overseeing pre-production (storyboarding, shot listing), leading the crew on set, and guiding the post-production process to deliver a final cut. You'll be working closely with the artist and a small, dedicated team to bring this vision to life. Applicants should have access to their own basic camera package (e.g., DSLR/mirrorless, prime lenses) and the ability to operate it, or a plan for securing one. Prior experience directing at least one short film, commercial, or music video is essential. A strong reel demonstrating your directorial style and narrative ability is a must. Creative problem-solving and excellent communication skills are highly valued. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for two days in late July in the greater Los Angeles area, with flexible hours. This is an independent production, so compensation will be a backend percentage, offering a chance to be part of a project with potential for festival exposure and artist promotion.
