Entry Location Scout, Minneapolis Commercial

A quirky, high-energy commercial for a new tech gadget needs a keen eye for unique Minneapolis locations. We're looking for an entry-level Location Scout to help us find and secure visually interesting and accessible sites within the city. This is an independent production gearing up for a dynamic shoot. Key responsibilities include researching potential locations based on creative briefs, contacting property owners for permissions, assisting with location agreements, and generally supporting the production team with all location-related logistics. We need someone who can think creatively about spaces and has strong communication skills. Ideal candidates will have some prior experience, even if volunteer or student work, in location scouting or production coordination. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential. You'll be working closely with the Director and Producer to bring our vision to life. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience on a fast-paced project. The preliminary scout period is expected to be about 2-3 weeks, primarily in mid September 2026. Shoot days, likely 1-2 days, will follow in late September 2026. Compensation is deferred (points plus deferred payment). Mileage and essential production-related expenses will be provided.
