Locations Scout/Manager (Commercial)

Our independent production is seeking a diligent and proactive Locations Scout/Manager for an upcoming commercial project based in Miami, FL. We are a small, dynamic team creating a fast-paced, visually engaging spot for a tech startup, showcasing a vibrant, aspirational tone. We need someone who can help us find and secure the perfect backdrops to bring our vision to life. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a critical production role. Key responsibilities include identifying diverse location options that match our creative brief, conducting site visits, liaising with property owners for access and permits, negotiating usage fees, and managing all logistical aspects related to locations during prep and the shoot. We need someone with a strong sense of visual storytelling and excellent communication skills. No specific gear is required from you, but reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are essential. You should have some prior experience, even if it's volunteer or student work, in scouting or production assistance, and be familiar with the Miami area. Please share any previous location scouting portfolios or project examples if available. The shoot is currently slated for a 1-2 day period in late September 2026, with an estimated 3-5 days of prep work starting immediately. Compensation is $200-400 per day, depending on experience. We will provide all necessary permits, insurance, and cover approved location expenses.
