Seeking a talented Location Scout/Manager for an independent documentary film, aiming for approximately 3 weeks of work spread across October and November 2026. This is a mid-level position offering $200-400/day, depending on experience. We are looking for someone to help us discover and manage compelling, authentic spaces for our upcoming project, which explores the hidden cultural narratives of Brooklyn, NY. The film has a nuanced, observational tone, focusing on human connection within specific urban environments. Your key responsibilities will include researching and scouting potential locations in Brooklyn, securing filming permits, negotiating access with property owners, and managing location logistics on shoot days. We need someone who is resourceful, has excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for visual storytelling. Required experience includes previous work in location scouting or management for documentary or narrative projects, particularly in an urban setting. Familiarity with Brooklyn neighborhoods and local permitting processes is a significant plus.
