Entry Sound Designer, Documentary

Documentary Sound Design Portland, OR entry Budget: $200-400/day

Hey everyone, looking for an entry-level Sound Designer for an upcoming documentary. This film explores the vibrant, underground art scene in Portland, focusing on performance art and experimental music, so unique and creative sound work is really important to capture the energy. We're a small, independent team passionate about telling these stories. Your main responsibilities will include cleaning up dialogue, designing ambient sounds for various locations, and creatively enhancing the unique sonic elements of the performances we'll be featuring. Ideally, you’ll have your own basic sound recording kit (mics, recorder) and some experience with audio editing software, preferably Pro Tools or Adobe Audition. Please include a link to your reel or samples of your sound work when you apply. Shoot dates are currently planned for late summer, likely 2-3 weeks of full days, but we can be flexible. We're offering a rate of $200-400/day, depending on experience and equipment. We'll provide craft services and a great collaborative atmosphere. Super excited to hear what you can bring to the team!
