Sound Design for Music Video

Hey NOLA sound folks! I'm a camera operator on an upcoming independent music video project, and we're looking for a talented, entry-level sound designer to join our crew. This is for a really cool indie pop track, high energy with some trippy visual elements, so we need someone creative to bring the sonic world to life. It's a great opportunity to get some strong work for your reel on a funded project. Your main responsibilities will include creating and placing sound effects, foley, and atmosphere to complement the visuals and enhance the track's vibe. We'll be looking for original thinking, not just stock sounds. We're also anticipating some environmental location sound challenges, and your input during the shoot can be really valuable. We're searching for someone with their own sound design software and a solid understanding of audio post-production workflows. While this is an entry-level position, please provide a reel or examples of your previous sound work. We're looking for potential and passion. Shoot dates are approximately late June, early July, probably 2-3 days on set, plus post-production time. We'll provide meals and a solid day rate (500-800/day, depending on experience and scope).
