Gaffer (Commercial) - LA area

Hey everyone, I'm Dale, an Electrician working on an upcoming commercial shoot and we're looking for a Gaffer. This is a high-energy commercial for a cool, established brand, focusing on a lifestyle product. We're aiming for a bright, clean, and modern look. It's an independent production, a fun project with a solid creative team. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, leading the grip and electric team, and ensuring all lighting is safe and effective. We need someone who can work efficiently and collaboratively on set. Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of various lighting techniques for commercial work and be comfortable problem-solving on the fly. While we're open to all experience levels, some previous experience gaffing commercials or similar projects would be a plus. Please don't worry about having a personal gear package, we'll have lighting equipment on set. Shoot dates are approximate, but we're looking at 2-3 days in late May or early June, mostly standard 10-12 hour days. This is a volunteer position, but we'll be providing meals and a copy of the final spot for your reel (which we'd love to see, by the way!).
