Gaffer (Entry) for Action Web Series, Los Angeles

Looking for an entry-level Gaffer for an upcoming independent action web series. This project is high-energy, fast-paced, and showcases stylized fight choreography, so dynamic and creative lighting will be key to making it pop. You'll be working closely with the Cinematographer to execute their vision and ensure every frame looks cinematic. Key responsibilities include setting up and striking lighting equipment, managing electrical distribution, shaping light, and helping to maintain a safe set. We're looking for someone eager to learn and contribute on a physically demanding shoot. Bring your positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. Gear will be provided by the production, but personal tools for lighting setup are a plus. Please submit a brief reel or portfolio demonstrating any relevant lighting experience, even from student films or personal projects. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late July to early August, with 10-12 hour days. We'll be primarily shooting around the Los Angeles area. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a professional set and expand your network. Compensation is $1000-1500 per day, dependent on experience. Meals and craft services will be provided on set.
