Gaffer (Mid-Level) - Music Video, NYC

Seeking a talented and experienced Gaffer for an upcoming independent music video shoot in New York City. This project is a visually driven, high-energy pop track with a strong narrative element, promising a creative challenge for the right individual. We're aiming for a dynamic and polished and your expertise in shaping light will be crucial. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the DP to execute their vision, managing the lighting crew, ensuring safe and efficient setups, and overseeing all lighting equipment. You'll need to be proficient with various lighting instruments, grip gear, and power distribution. Applicants should have at least 3-5 years of gaffing experience on independent productions, a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your work, and the ability to adapt quickly on set. While we will provide some core equipment, having access to your own essential kit (meters, tools, etc.) is a plus. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late June / early July, spanning 2-3 full days. Exact dates and locations will be firmed up soon. Compensation is deferred (points + deferred pay) with meals and craft services provided on set. We're a passionate crew looking for someone who shares our dedication to making great work.
