Gaffer (Mid) - San Francisco Web Series

Hey, looking for a talented Gaffer to join an upcoming independent production, a sci-fi drama web series filming in San Francisco. It's a visually driven project with a moody, atmospheric tone, blending grounded character stories with subtle futuristic elements. We're aiming for a high-quality cinematic so your expertise in shaping light will be crucial. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, leading the electrics team, and ensuring a safe and efficient lighting setup on set. We'll need you to manage and maintain lighting equipment, work closely with the DP, and problem-solve on the fly. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience as a Gaffer or Best Boy Electric, preferably on narrative projects. Please have a strong understanding of various lighting fixtures, power distribution, and safety protocols. While we have some gear, a Gaffer who can bring a small, essential lighting kit (e.g., specific modifiers, specialty practicals) is a bonus. Please share your reel or a portfolio of your work. Shoot dates are approximate, targeting 8-10 days over 2-3 weeks in late summer/early fall. Days will be 10-12 hours. Meals and production insurance will be provided. Compensation is TBD, depending on experience.
