Gaffer (or Best Boy) for Feature Film, MTL

We are an independent production looking for a talented Gaffer, or experienced Best Boy ready to step up, for our upcoming feature film shooting in Montreal. It's a dark comedy, a bit quirky, with some really fun visual opportunities. We'll be playing with a lot of practicals and moody lighting to enhance the offbeat tone. Your main responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with our Cinematographer to execute their vision, leading the lighting team, and ensuring all lighting is safe and effective. We need someone who can work efficiently and creatively within a tight schedule. Ideally, you'll have your own basic kit, but we will be providing a full lighting package and additional gear as needed. Previous feature film experience is a plus, but we’re open to showcasing new talent. Please send over your reel or a portfolio of your lighting work. Shoot dates are approximately late September to mid-October, five-day weeks, 10-12 hour days. Compensation is between $200-400 per day, depending on experience and role.
