Gaffer (Senior) for Vancouver Music Video

Hey everyone, Simone here. I'm putting together a crew for an upcoming music video for an independent artist. It's a really cool project, quite dark and atmospheric, almost like a mini-thriller narrative piece that happens to feature a musical performance. We need a seasoned Gaffer to lead our lighting plan and execute it beautifully. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing the lighting setup, managing the grip and electric team, ensuring safety protocols, and working closely with our cinematographer to achieve the desired look. We're looking for someone with extensive experience in music video or narrative short film lighting, a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your expertise, and your own basic lighting kit is a plus but not strictly required. We're estimating shoot dates for early to mid-August, likely two full days, with some prep beforehand. We'll be providing craft services and lunch on shoot days, and all necessary permits and insurance are handled. This is a partnership opportunity, meaning compensation will be a revenue share from the finished project.
