Lighting for Feature Film

Hey filmmakers! We're gearing up for an exciting independent feature film shooting in beautiful Prague and I'm looking for a solid Best Boy Electric to join our lighting crew. This is a character-driven drama, with some tense atmospheric scenes that will rely heavily on nuanced lighting, so I need someone with an eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving. You'll be working closely with me, the Gaffer, to run the daily operations of the electrical department, manage equipment, and support our lighting needs on set. We're seeking someone with at least 3-5 years of experience as a Best Boy Electric or experienced lighting technician on narrative features or high-end shorts. A strong understanding of various lighting fixtures, power distribution, and safety protocols is a must. While we have our core gear package, demonstrating familiarity with standard cinema lighting kits on your reel or resume is appreciated. Shoot dates are approximately late October through November, with standard 10-12 hour days. Exact compensation is TBD and will be discussed based on experience. We'll provide local transportation within Prague during production, and craft services, of course.
