Lighting for Pilot
Hey everyone, Chris here! We're gearing up for a pilot episode of a sci-fi drama, an independent production with some cool practical effects and an ambitious vision for its world-building. We're looking for a dedicated Lighting Technician to join our team in Vancouver. This is a crucial role in helping us bring our visual style to life, creating the right mood and atmosphere for our story. Your main responsibilities will involve setting up and striking lighting equipment, working closely with our Gaffer, and ensuring all lights are safely and properly positioned according to the lighting plan. We need someone who can troubleshoot minor issues if they pop up and be a proactive part of our lighting crew. No specific gear is required from you, we'll have all the necessary equipment on set. All experience levels are welcome to apply, even if you're just starting out and eager to learn, as long as you have a good attitude and a willingness to put in the work. A positive, collaborative spirit is key! If you have a basic understanding of lighting principles or some experience handling grip and electric gear, that's a bonus. No reel is necessary for this particular role. Shoot dates are approximately late June to early July, with exact dates to be finalized soon, but expect 10-12 hour days. We'll be providing meals and craft services on set daily. Compensation is $150-300 per day, depending on experience. If you're interested in being part of an exciting new project, shoot me an email with a brief intro about yourself and any relevant experience you have. Looking forward to hearing from you!
