Lighting for Web Series

Hey everyone, Alex Trujillo here (2nd AC). We're looking for a Gaffer to join our team for an exciting new sci-fi comedy web series. Think 'The Good Place' meets 'Rick and Morty' but set in an intergalactic DMV. We've got some really unique visual gags planned and need someone with a creative eye to help bring them to light (pun intended!). As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan set by the DP, managing our small lighting package, and ensuring everything looks fantastic on camera. This is a great opportunity to gain more set experience and expand your reel on an independent production. You should have a basic understanding of lighting principles, safety protocols, and general set etiquette. While we provide some basic gear, having access to your own small kit (C-stands, flags, basic gels, maybe a small LED panel or two) would be a huge plus. We’re targeting approximately 5-7 shoot days during late summer, primarily on weekends or evenings. Schedules will be built to be mindful of everyone's time, estimating 8-10 hour days. This is an equity partnership role, meaning you'll receive a percentage of ownership in the series, with potential for future financial returns.
