Location Scout/Manager, Indie Feature (Chicago)

Hey Chicago filmmakers! We're searching for a dedicated Location Scout and/or Manager for an upcoming independent feature film. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama set in various urban and industrial environments around Chicago. We're looking for someone who can help us find those perfect, evocative spots that tell a story on their own, and then help us secure them. Key responsibilities include scouting potential locations, taking detailed photos, liaising with property owners, navigating permits, and helping manage logistics on set. We're open to all experience levels; if you have a great eye and good communication skills, we want to hear from you. Experience with Chicago-specific permits and a good network of contacts would be a huge plus, but not strictly required. Please share any relevant scouting work or a general reel if you have one, or just tell us about your experience and why you're interested. We anticipate principle photography will be sometime in late summer or early fall, with scouting beginning much sooner. This is a partnership opportunity, so compensation is revenue share from the film's distribution. This means we're all invested in making something great together.
