Locations for Web Series

Hey folks, I'm a grip on an upcoming independent web series, and we're looking for an experienced Locations Manager to join our team in Vancouver. This is a gritty, character-driven drama, think a blend of "Ozark" and "Breaking Bad" but set in the local art world. It's a really compelling script, definitely something with potential to get noticed. As our Locations Manager, you'll be responsible for finding, securing, and managing all shooting locations. This includes scouting, negotiating access, coordinating with property owners, and ensuring all necessary permits are in place. You'll work closely with the Director and DPs to bring their vision to life, ensuring our locations not only fit the aesthetic but are also practical for our shooting needs. We're looking for someone with a solid track record in independent film or web series production, someone who knows the Vancouver area well and has a knack for finding unique, evocative spots. You should be resourceful, a strong communicator, and comfortable problem-solving on the fly. Please have a portfolio of your past locations work ready to share. We don't expect you to provide a locations van or any major gear, but experience with location budgeting software is a plus. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late summer, early fall, with a full-time commitment expected during the principal photography period. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a Co-producer credit and backend participation, so we're looking for someone truly invested in the project's success. Let's make something great.
