Location Scout/Manager, Indie Thriller Short
Hey filmmaking community, I'm helping an indie team find a talented Location Scout/Manager for an upcoming psychological thriller short. This project explores themes of isolation and paranoia, set primarily in unique, atmospheric residential and industrial spaces. We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for finding locations that tell a story on their own. Your responsibilities will include scouting, securing, and managing diverse locations across Los Angeles, negotiating agreements, and coordinating logistics with the production team. You'll work closely with the director and production designer to bring their vision to life. We need someone with mid-level experience in location management, a solid understanding of permits and regulations, and a strong network in the LA area. A portfolio showcasing your previous work is a must. While this is a deferred pay gig, we're dedicated to making a festival-worthy film and ensuring everyone gets a strong credit and a great experience. Our shoot dates are tentatively set for 4-5 days over two weekends in late July or early August, with approximately 10-12 hour days. We'll provide all necessary transportation during scouting and shoot days, and ensure meals and craft services are well-covered. Let's make something impactful together!
