Production Design for Short Film

Miami, FL based independent production seeking a talented entry-level Production Designer for an upcoming short film, shooting approximately 1-2 days in October 2026. This project is a visually driven sci-fi drama exploring themes of isolation and memory in a near-future, slightly dystopian setting. We’re aiming for a grounded yet atmospheric with specific attention to minimalist set dressing and evocative prop design to build our world. The film is a passion project with a dedicated crew, offering a fantastic opportunity to showcase your creative vision. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the director on the visual aesthetic, designing and sourcing props, managing set dressing, and overseeing the art department on set. You'll be instrumental in translating our script's unique world into a tangible reality. We're looking for someone with a strong artistic eye, problem-solving skills, and a passion for storytelling through design. Prior experience in film production design, even on student or micro-budget projects, is a plus. Please submit a reel or portfolio showcasing your design work. Compensation will be discussed based on experience. Some travel within Miami for sourcing may be required.
