Production Designer, Independent Feature

A coming-of-age story set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami's art scene, exploring themes of identity and legacy. We are seeking an enthusiastic Production Designer for an independent feature film. This is an entry-level opportunity for a passionate individual to bring their creative vision to life on a compelling project. You will be responsible for translating the script's visual requirements into tangible sets and locations, sourcing props, managing set dressing, and collaborating closely with the Director and Cinematographer to establish the film's aesthetic. We're looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing their design sensibilities, even if it's from student films or short projects. Experience with set construction, prop acquisition, and budget management for production design is a plus, but a keen eye and willingness to learn are paramount. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are highly recommended for travel to locations and prop sourcing around Miami. Shoot dates are approximately 3 weeks in October 2026, with prep starting immediately in September 2026. This is a deferred pay position, common for independent projects, with meals and local travel expenses provided during active production days. This is an excellent chance to gain feature film experience and contribute significantly to a narrative project.
