Production for Short Film
Hey folks, Marcus here, a Foley Artist working on an exciting independent production, a Sci-Fi Noir short film. We're looking for a dedicated Script Supervisor to join our team for this captivating, visually rich story set in a dystopian Chicago. It's got a gritty, atmospheric vibe with some really interesting character arcs, and we're aiming for a festival run. Your main responsibilities will include meticulous script breakdown, continuity tracking (dialogue, props, wardrobe, camera setups), maintaining accurate shoot reports, and working closely with the director and cinematography team to ensure a smooth production flow. We really need someone with a keen eye for detail and the ability to anticipate potential continuity issues. Experience level isn't as critical as passion and a solid work ethic. If you're new to the role but eager to learn and contribute to a professional set, please apply! A basic understanding of set etiquette and film production principles is a plus. While you don't need your own gear beyond a notepad and pen, let us know if you have access to specific software you prefer. Please include a brief reel or examples of previous work if you have any, even student projects. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for 3-4 days in late July or early August, primarily on evenings and weekends in and around Chicago. We'll provide craft services and a great environment to build your portfolio. Compensation for this project is deferred, a backend percentage, as is common with these passion projects.
