Production for Web Series

Austin, we're shooting a gritty sci-fi web series mid August 2026 for approximately 4 weeks, with a small but dedicated crew. We're looking for a mid-level Sound Mixer to join us on an independent production that explores themes of technological reliance and human connection in a near-future Austin. This project has a dark, atmospheric tone with moments of intense action and quiet reflection. We’re aiming for a festival run before wide release, and this is a partnership opportunity. You'd be responsible for all on-set audio recording, including dialogue, sound effects, and wild lines, ensuring clean and professional tracks. This means managing boom operation, lavalier placement, and overall sound quality throughout production. We need someone who owns their own professional sound package (mixer, recorder, microphones, wireless systems) and has experience working on narrative projects, ideally with some sci-fi or action elements. Please share your reel or a link to previous work demonstrating your sound recording capabilities. Shoot days will typically be 10-12 hours, and we’ll be providing craft services, water, and lunch on set. This is a passion project we believe in, offering a unique chance for equity partnership on a project with strong potential.
