Screenwriter, Psychological Thriller Short

Short Film Screenwriting Seoul, KR mid Budget: $1000-1500/day

Our upcoming independent short film is a psychological thriller set in a futuristic Seoul, exploring themes of memory, identity, and the blurring lines between reality and simulation. We are seeking a talented screenwriter to craft a compelling, character-driven narrative that will leave audiences questioning everything. This project is high-concept, visually ambitious, and demands a script with sharp dialogue and intricate plotting. We want something fresh, unsettling, and thought-provoking. Think Black Mirror meets Oldboy. Key responsibilities include developing the story outline, writing the full screenplay (approximately 15-20 pages), incorporating feedback from the director, and potentially assisting with scene breakdown and shot listing. We are looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work in suspense, sci-fi, or psychological thrillers. A proven ability to write compelling dialogue and build believable tension is a must. While no specific gear is required for this writing role, strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential. Compensation is paid, at a rate of $1000-1500 per day. We anticipate about 3 weeks of work, starting immediately. The project is based in Seoul, KR, though remote collaboration is possible for the initial writing phase. We are a small production company committed to bringing unique stories to life.
