Senior Editor, Feature Documentary

Looking for a senior editor for a challenging feature documentary, aiming for festival premieres in early 2027. This project delves into untold historical narratives with a complex, multi-strand storyline, requiring a skilled hand to weave together archival footage, interviews, and vérité sequences into a compelling and cohesive film. We're looking for someone with a strong sense of story, rhythm, and an ability to navigate sensitive subject matter. Project will run for approximately 8-10 weeks, starting in the first half of October 2026. Compensation is $500-800/day, depending on experience. You will be working from a dedicated editing suite in Toronto, provided by our small production company. We require extensive experience cutting long-form documentaries, a strong portfolio demonstrating narrative craftsmanship, and proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
