Sound Designer for Independent Horror Short

Hey Chicago film community, I'm a Foley Artist working on an upcoming independent horror short and we're looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our crew. This is a suspenseful psychological horror piece, aiming for a very unsettling, immersive atmosphere. We've got some great practical effects and a solid story, and the sound design is going to be crucial in elevating the scares and overall tension. Your main responsibilities will include creating and mixing all non-dialogue audio elements, including ambiences, sound effects, and potentially helping to integrate score. We're looking for someone with mid-level experience in sound design for film, so please have a strong reel showcasing your work, especially in genre films. You should have your own workstation and software. We're a passionate, tight-knit team, and while this is a volunteer project (a true passion piece for everyone involved), it's a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and build your portfolio on a project with real creative ambition. Shoot dates are tentatively set for late summer in various Chicago locations, primarily weekends. We'll provide craft services and a great set experience. Looking forward to hearing from you!
