Sound Designer - Short Sci-Fi Pilot

Hey filmmakers, we're on the hunt for a talented Sound Designer to join our team for an independent sci-fi pilot. This is a suspenseful, character-driven story with some cool, unique alien tech that will definitely need some creative soundscapes. We've got a lot of exciting visual elements coming together, so the sound design will be crucial in building out this world and atmosphere. Your main responsibilities will involve designing and implementing all the sound effects, Foley, and ambient tracks for the pilot. You'll work closely with the director and editor to make sure the sound enhances the narrative and brings our sci-fi elements to life. We're looking for someone with a strong ear for detail and a knack for creating immersive audio environments. This is an entry-level position, so you don't need years of experience, but a solid sound design reel showing off your skills is a must. If you have your own basic sound design software and headphones, that's a plus. Our shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late July, so sound work would likely begin in August and be completed over a few weeks. This is a volunteer project, but we'll provide meals on set (if you decide to come for a day or two to observe) and a copy of the final pilot for your reel. Flexibility with remote work is totally fine. Let's make something awesome together!
