1st AC, Feature Film (LA)

Hey filmmakers, Monique here, a dialect coach working on an independent feature, and we're looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an exciting project. This is a dramatic indie film with some thriller elements, exploring complex family dynamics. It's a character-driven story with a visually rich, naturalistic aesthetic. We're looking for someone who can keep our camera department running smoothly. Your main responsibilities will include pulling sharp focus, managing camera setup and breakdown, maintaining equipment, and assisting the DP on set. We're shooting on an ARRI Alexa Mini LF, so experience with that camera system is a big plus. You should have your own follow focus, monitor, and basic AC kit. Looking for someone with at least a couple of feature or significant short film credits under their belt. Please share your reel or a list of projects you've worked on where you served as 1st AC. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late September through mid-October, around 10-12 hour days. We're based in Los Angeles, filming primarily in the Valley and surrounding areas. Compensation is $100-200/day, depending on experience. Lunch and snacks will be provided on set. Let's make some great art together!
