Gaffer (Senior) for Indie Feature Film

Hey filmmakers, Maya here, a Set Medic working on an upcoming independent feature film. We're on the hunt for a senior Gaffer to join our crew. This is a dramatic thriller set in present-day Brooklyn, exploring themes of urban isolation and paranoia. We're aiming for a gritty, atmospheric relying heavily on practicals and motivated lighting setups, so your expertise in crafting mood and tension through light will be crucial. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating closely with our DP and director on lighting design, leading our grip and electric team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all lighting equipment, and managing power distribution on set. We're looking for someone with significant feature film experience, a strong portfolio, and a deep understanding of various lighting techniques and gear. While we have a lighting package, we're open to your suggestions and contributions regarding specialized equipment. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late fall in Brooklyn, mostly 10-12 hour days, five days a week. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a share in the film's backend revenue.
