Gaffer (Experienced) Feature Film, NOLA

Independent production looking for an experienced Gaffer for an upcoming feature film shooting in New Orleans. This is a gritty, character-driven drama with supernatural elements so we'll be playing with a lot of practical lighting and moody atmosphere. You'll be working closely with the DP to execute their vision, running the lighting crew and ensuring all electrical needs are met safely and efficiently. You'll need a strong understanding of lighting techniques, DMX control, and power distribution. Bring your own basic G&E kit, though a larger package will be provided by the production. We're looking for someone with a solid reel showing previous feature or high-end short film work. Our shoot dates are tentatively late August to early September, about 4 weeks total. We're offering competitive rates, negotiable based on experience. Meals, craft services, and some local transportation will be provided. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a compelling story and add a challenging project to your portfolio.
