Art Assistant, Cape Town Music Video

A vibrant narrative unfolds as a young artist grapples with inspiration and self-doubt in a visually rich, Afrofuturist-inspired world. I'm looking for an enthusiastic Art Assistant to join my independent production team for an upcoming music video shoot in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for someone entry-level to gain hands-on experience in the art department on a project with a strong visual identity and compelling story. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with prop sourcing, set dressing, and on-set support for all art department needs, ensuring the director's vision is brought to life. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a willingness to jump in wherever needed, and a positive attitude. While no specific gear is required, any experience with basic carpentry, painting, or prop making is a definite plus. Please share any relevant work, even if it's student projects or personal creative endeavors. We're planning a 2-day shoot, likely late September or early October 2026, with about 1 week of prep work beforehand. We'll provide transportation to and from set within Cape Town and meals during shoot days. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and a percentage of backend profits for the right collaborator.
