Art Department for Web Series

Our upcoming independent web series, a psychological thriller with elements of dark comedy, delves into the unsettling secrets of a seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood. We're seeking a senior Art Director to help bring this unique vision to life, crafting visually compelling environments that enhance the narrative's tension and wry humor. Your responsibilities will include leading the art department, overseeing set design and dressing, managing props, and ensuring continuity across episodes. You'll collaborate closely with the director and cinematographer to develop a cohesive aesthetic that feels both grounded and subtly disquieting. We need someone with significant experience in independent film or web series production, a strong portfolio showcasing your creative and organizational skills, and the ability to work resourcefully. Ideally, you’ll have access to some basic art department tools or resources, though we will provide a budget for materials. Prep work will begin around September 2, 2026, leading into principal photography, which is anticipated to be around September 18, 2026, and lasting for approximately 3 weeks, shooting mainly on weekends and some weekdays in the Chicago area. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a revenue share in the project, reflecting a shared commitment to its success.
