Cinematography for Pilot

Hey team, my name is Mateo and I'm a color timer working on an exciting sci-fi pilot based in Auckland. We're looking for a skilled and committed 1st Assistant Camera to join our independent production. This pilot is a visually driven story exploring themes of identity and technology, with a gritty, near-future aesthetic. We've got some cool visual effects planned and are aiming for a cinematic feel. Your main responsibilities will include meticulous focus pulling, managing camera equipment, and ensuring smooth operation on set. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience on narrative sets, a strong understanding of various camera systems (especially Arri and Red), and a keen eye for detail. Ideally, you’ll have your own follow focus system and a basic toolkit. Shoot dates are currently planned for late September, early October, spanning approximately 10-12 days of principal photography, likely Monday to Friday. We'll be providing all major camera packages and lenses. Compensation is negotiable and we're open to discussing rates that reflect your experience.
