Gaffer for Commercial Shoot (Brooklyn)

Hey everyone, I'm a screenwriter with an upcoming independent commercial shoot in Brooklyn and I'm looking for a senior-level Gaffer to join our small, but passionate, team. This project is for a local brand, focusing on telling a compelling, authentic story in a dynamic, documentary-style aesthetic. We're aiming for a polished, yet natural, feel that really highlights the product's unique qualities. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with our DP and director on lighting design and execution, leading a small lighting crew, and ensuring all electrical safety protocols are adhered to. You'll need to bring your own lighting and grip package or have access to one we can rent (we'll cover the rental costs, of course). Strong experience gaffing commercials or similar short-form narrative content is essential, and an established reel demonstrating your expertise is a must-have. Shoot dates are approximately 3 days in late June or early July, full daytime hours, likely 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services, lunch, and a positive, collaborative set environment. Day rate is $200-400, depending on experience and gear package. Looking forward to seeing your work!
