Entry-Level DP, Corporate Video
Hey everyone, I'm Lucas and I'm gaffing an upcoming corporate project and we're on the hunt for an enthusiastic entry-level Director of Photography. This is a chance to step up and showcase your skills on a professional set. We're producing a series of short, engaging corporate explainer videos for a tech client, focusing on innovation and user experience. Think clean, modern visuals with a dynamic, accessible tone. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the director to achieve the desired setting up and operating camera equipment, managing shot lists, and ensuring high-quality cinematic output. We're looking for someone who can bring their own reliable camera package (DSLR or mirrorless with relevant lenses is perfect) and has a strong understanding of lighting principles, even if you’re still building your full kit. Experience with corporate video is a plus, but a solid reel demonstrating your visual storytelling and technical proficiency is what we really want to see. We anticipate 2-3 shoot days in total, likely spread over a week or two in late October, early November. Exact dates are still being finalized. Hours will be typical 8-10 hour days. We'll provide all necessary grip and electric gear, and craft services, of course. This is a deferred compensation opportunity (points based on experience, plus deferred payment upon project delivery) as it's an independent production, but it’s a great opportunity for portfolio building and collaborating with a dedicated team in Toronto.
