Gaffer for Indie Music Video

Hey everyone, Alex here, 2nd AC on an exciting independent music video project. We're looking for a talented Gaffer to join our crew for a shoot right here in Los Angeles. This is an entry-level paid position, perfect for someone looking to build their reel and gain more on-set experience. The video is for an emerging indie pop artist, with a really vibrant, dreamlike aesthetic. Think saturated colors, practical effects, and a lot of creative lighting to set different moods within the same location. We're aiming to shoot over two to three days, likely mid-May, with 10-12 hour days. Exact dates are still being finalized. We need someone who can come in with their own basic kit, including a small set of lights, stands, and grip gear. We'll have access to some additional rentals, but your foundational kit is crucial. Most importantly, we're seeking someone with a good attitude, a collaborative spirit, and a keen eye for lighting. Please submit your reel or a portfolio of your work, even if it's student projects or smaller independent shorts. We'll be reviewing submissions quickly, as we're aiming to lock down our crew soon. Compensation is $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience and the final shoot schedule. Lunch and craft services will be provided on set. Looking forward to seeing your work!
