Editing for Feature Film

Hey everyone, Ray here. We're looking for a sharp, experienced editor to join our team for an upcoming independent dramatic feature. Think character-driven, emotionally resonant storytelling, with a touch of dark indie humor. It's a challenging script, but really rewarding. We need someone who can take raw footage and sculpt it into something truly special, bringing their own vision to the edit while also respecting the director's intent. You'll be responsible for all aspects of post-production editing, from assembly to fine cut and final delivery. We're looking for someone with at least 5+ years of feature film editing experience, a strong narrative sense, and proficiency with industry-standard editing software (Premiere Pro preferred). Please share your reel or relevant work samples demonstrating your storytelling abilities. This project will be based in New York City. We anticipate approximately 8-10 weeks of work, starting in late summer, early fall. The schedule will be full-time, Monday-Friday, approximately 10-12 hour days. Editing suite and all necessary equipment will be provided. We're offering a daily rate of $500-800, depending on experience. Really excited to see what you can bring to the table.
