Gaffer for Neo-Noir Music Video

Hey fellow filmmakers, I'm Annika, an Editor working on an upcoming music video and I'm looking for a gaffer to join our small, enthusiastic crew. We're shooting a stylized neo-noir music video for an independent artist, think moody lighting, intense shadows, and a cool, cinematic feel. It's a really exciting project with a strong visual concept, something you can really dig into creatively. Your main responsibilities will involve collaborating with the director and myself (as this project's editor) to execute the lighting plan, setting up and operating all lighting equipment, and ensuring safety on set. We're looking for someone who has a good understanding of three-point lighting, practical lighting, and shaping light to create specific moods. Experience with LED panels and HMIs would be a plus. Since this is an independent production, we're seeking a gaffer who can bring their own basic kit (stands, flags, diffusers, etc.) however, we will provide specialized lighting units. Experience is open, whether you're a seasoned pro or someone looking to build their reel on an interesting project, we'd love to hear from you. Please share a-reel or examples of your lighting work if you have them. Shoot dates are tentatively set for two days in late July in Berlin. It'll be full days, but we'll make sure everyone is fed well. This is a volunteer position, but you'll get full credit and gain experience on a project with serious festival potential.
