Senior Editor, Music Video

Hey everyone, we're looking for a talented Senior Editor to cut a really dynamic music video for an independent artist. This is for a high-energy pop track with a bit of a surreal, dreamlike aesthetic. We've got a lot of interesting footage, including some cool practical effects and abstract shots, so we need someone who can really craft a visually engaging narrative that matches the song's vibe. Your main responsibilities will be assembling the initial cut, incorporating feedback, and delivering a final polished edit. We'll be working with ProRes footage, so familiarity with that workflow is a must. You'll need to have your own editing station, preferably running Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Ideally, you'd have a strong reel showcasing previous music video or highly visual short-form content editing. We're looking for someone with significant experience, someone who can really take charge of the post process. Shoot wrapped last week, so we're hoping to start editing right away, aiming for a quick turnaround within the next two to three weeks. We're offering credit commensurate with a senior position, plus daily meals and good company. We're based in Austin, TX, and ideally, you'd be able to work with us in person for at least some of the process, though some remote work could be an option for the right candidate.
