Editing for Music Video

Hey, Zara here (Costume Designer). We're looking for a talented Senior Editor to cut a new music video for an exciting independent artist. This is a high-energy track with a visually driven concept, blending surreal imagery with raw emotion. Think dynamic cuts, creative transitions, and a strong narrative flow, even if it's abstract. We need someone who can really bring a unique vision to the footage and make it pop. Key responsibilities include assembling raw footage, creating a compelling narrative and visual rhythm, sound syncing, color grading, and implementing visual effects as needed. The artist has a strong aesthetic and we want someone who can elevate that. We're looking for editors with extensive music video experience, a strong portfolio showcasing your creative editing style, and excellent proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve). While we'll provide the footage, you'll need your own editing suite and hardware capable of handling high-resolution files efficiently. Shoot dates are wrapped, so we're looking to start post-production immediately. We anticipate this being a 2-3 week project, around 40 hours a week, with flexible hours.
