Entry-Level Editor, Documentary (Montreal)
Hey there! I'm Nadine, a Script Supervisor working on an upcoming independent documentary project, and we're looking for an enthusiastic entry-level editor to join our small, but passionate team in Montreal. This is a character-driven documentary exploring a unique subculture, and we're aiming for a reflective, intimate tone. We have a lot of great, raw footage, and we need someone with a keen eye for storytelling to help us weave it into a compelling narrative. Your main responsibilities will include ingesting and organizing footage, creating rough cuts, implementing feedback from the director, and assisting with general post-production tasks. We're looking for someone proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro. While this is an entry-level position, some prior experience editing documentaries, even student films or personal projects, would be a huge plus. Please include a link to your reel or some relevant work when you apply. We anticipate editing to begin in late September and run for approximately 4-6 weeks, with flexible hours. We're offering a flat rate of $250 per day. We'll provide all necessary editing software and a dedicated editing suite in Montreal. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a fascinating independent production. Looking forward to hearing from you!
